Art for the Garden – Create a naturalistic “Rain Chain”

Spend the morning in the Upstairs Atelier workshop with friends and create a beautiful “rain chain” for your garden. We will provide all the inspiration and supplies to embellish your favorite garden spot with an artistic creation that can provide sculptural as well as practical benefits. A “Rain Chain” has the function of diverting water from a gutter or other water runoff spot, to a location that makes it less erosive and more beneficial. It softens the impact of the water’s contact and can be used to put the water to a beneficial use.

Originating in Japan, the “Rain Chain” brings an aesthetic of softness and beauty to your space, lending a melodic and artistic element to an otherwise uninspiring functional space.

The best part of making a rain chain is in the making! Our creative space on the farm will take you to a place of zen, escaping the ordinary in a way that nourishes you and your garden. Refreshments are always included!
